Police investigating convenience store robbery

The Greeneville Police Department is looking for a man they say robbed a convenience store Monday night.

Police tell 11 Connects the robbery happened just before 7 p.m. at the Quick Stop Number 10 on the corner of Asheville Highway and Forest Street.

According to the convenience store clerk, a man carrying what looked like a razor took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and ran from the store.

Police say the clerk wasn't hurt in the hold-up.

Police describe the person of interest as a male approximately 30 to 35 years old, between 5'7" and 5'9", and between 210 and 230 pounds. Police say he has short brown hair, a green shirt with the number 31 written on the back and camouflage pants with a camouflage cap.
