Police in Gatlinburg say they expect recently discovered remains to be the bodies of two murder victims who disappeared from Gatlinburg in 2002.

WBIR-TV in Knoxville reports the bones found on a steep embankment are the remains of Vladimir Yemelyanov and Sufiya Arslanova. The two seasonal workers from Russia were reported missing eight years ago.

The man charged in their deaths has never been found. Yuriy Solovyev lived with the two men and was seen on surveillance video using one of the victim's credit cards in Washington D.C.

Blood was splattered on the walls and furniture of the motel efficiency apartment where they lived in Gatlinburg.

A Sevier County jury indicted Solovyev on two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of felony murder in 2004.
