Think you can help convey Johnson City’s dedication to the environment into an icon that represents our forward-thinking approach to all things green? Keep Johnson City Beautiful (KJCB) is calling on talented local designers to create its new logo.
KJCB (formerly Keep Washington County Beautiful) is our local Keep America Beautiful Affiliate. Board members are looking for a design that captures Johnson City, Tennessee’s first-ever award-winning Green City, as a model for other communities; reflects our community’s support of environmental efforts such as recycling and beautification; and is fresh and modern, just like the City’s approach to conservation.
All original entries must contain the words “Keep Johnson City Beautiful” or its acronym, “KJCB” and be created entirely by the entrant, not including any copyrighted or trademarked material.
The winning designer will receive a $100 prize.
Deadline for entries is 4 p.m., April 9, 2010. Please note that all entries must be received, not postmarked, by this date. Submissions must include a completed entry form, which is available by e-mailing ehunter@johnsoncitytn.org or by calling 979-6318.
Designs should be submitted in a high-resolution (at least 300 dpi) digital format along with color and black-and-white printouts on 8.5x11 paper. Designs should not exceed four colors. Acceptable file formats are PDF, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, JPEG and EPS. Files should be on CD-Rom with the entrant’s name and contact info printed on the disc.
Winning design will be selected by the Keep Johnson City Beautiful Board of Directors. Entries become property of Keep Johnson City Beautiful, and entrants grant KJCB royalty-free, exclusive license to publish the winning entry without limitation. The winning designer’s name and image may be used in related promotions.
