Bristol Virginia Police Department
March 3

* One grown man and one boy got caught stealing from the Bristol Mall Spencers at 2:15 p.m.
* A woman called police to say that her boyfriend “stole her wallet and her cell phone” while they were bickering in the parking lot of Food City at 4:15 p.m. Then the boyfriend started walking down the street. She told them she would stay at the scene of the crime in her green 1996 Oldsmobile. When officers arrived they found the car, but lady wasn’t inside.
March 4
* Police went looking for a white Dodge minivan seen somehow driving at an “extremely high rate of speed” on Lee Highway.
* A King Mill Pike woman told police she found footprints on her back patio at 7:50 a.m. that appeared to have been made by “large shoes.”
* Someone reported a Grand Prix was driving recklessly on Old Airport Road “and almost wrecked three cars” at 11:45 a.m.

Bristol Tennessee Police Department
March 3

* Someone stole a boy’s $1,700 dirt bike off his back porch.
March 4
* Police went to Hatterdale Farm Road where a man “thought two people were inside his residence” at 6 a.m. Officers checked the house and “no one was found inside.”

Neighborhood Watch
* The Croweville and Glade Spring Neighborhood Watch will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at 110 Town Square in Glade Spring, Va.
* The Hayters Gap Neighborhood Watch will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Clinch Mountain Fire Department in Abingdon.
* Anyone interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch in Bristol, Va., should contact Nicole Slagle, crime prevention specialist with the Bristol Virginia Police Department, at (276) 645-7281.
* Anyone interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch in Wise County should contact Sgt. Chuck Stapleton, crime prevention officer with the Wise County Sheriff’s Office, at (276) 328-3566.
