In order to keep children excited about learning, we are writing to encourage schools to implement Creative Movement in the curriculum. Everyone is aware that children enjoy moving their body to music, and what better place than school to increase the awareness and the benefits that movement can bring? When you give a child the opportunity to explore and expand using Creative Movement you are encouraging creativity and coordination skills. Childhood obesity is a major problem, so to encourage movement in a classroom setting, we will be promoting exercise while supporting socialization among the students.
Creative Movement also stimulates development for all children, builds self confidence and increases a child’s vocabulary and concentration skills. The great advantage of including Creative Movement in the classroom is that no additional expenses will be necessary.
For example, the teacher can instruct the students to pretend to be an animal and then step back and watch them anxiously hop, crawl or run like a rabbit, snake or deer. We urge everyone to recommend Creative Movement to be included in the school curriculum, in order to stimulate the development of our leaders of tomorrow.
