Bristol Virginia Police Department

June 3

 Someone called to say a man and woman were “screaming” in a Euclid Avenue parking lot, but “refused to give any further details” on the screamers.
The manager of a Linden Drive business told police that, when they opened the store, “they found some drug paraphernalia with an ID with it.”
 Someone reported that a woman pushing a buggy fell on Piedmont Avenue about 12:30 p.m. Police found the buggy, but no lady.
 A woman called from Wallace Pike to report, again, that her neighbors have a “trampoline in the yard and kids are on it and they are yelling and having fun.” The woman refused to give her name, but said “she had to call the law last year to tell them to hold the noise down.” She wanted an officer to “speak to them this year” because “they are screaming, not just yelling, and they are a noise disturbance.”
 A Clinton Avenue parent called to say their “12-year-old son was out of control, punching holes in the wall and cursing.” The parent asked for an officer “to come out to see if he will calm down.” Police told them it “may take a little while.”
 Someone called from Old Airport Road about 3 p.m. to report a man “with shaggy dark hair, wearing two ragged shirts and jeans, flashing his privates and urinating in public.”
 A Cumberland Street homeowner reported three women “sitting on the steps and they are high on something and do not reside there.” They “wanted them removed.”

 A man at the hospital “was acting belligerent by yelling and screaming at medical personnel.” When officers arrived, doctors told them the belligerent man had been shot in the leg. The man recounted the incident as follows: “He was at his house and got stung by a bee. He went to hit the bee and found that the bee was a door. He then inspected his leg and found that what he believed to be a bee sting was a gun shot wound.” Then, he said, “while at the hospital, the doctor laughed at him and he became upset.” Police determined the man lived in Washington County, Va., so they called in the Sheriff’s Office. When deputies got there, the man refused to cooperate. Police said later, “If he wants to shoot himself in the leg, or let someone else shoot him in the leg, he can go right on and do it.”
