A South Carolina man is in jail this morning, accused of attempting to kidnap a 20-year-old Greeneville woman who was on vacation.
11 Connects first brought you Randa Massey's story last week. She told Myrtle Beach police two men jumped from a car and tried to grab her on Ocean Avenue, but she fought them off.
Well, Wednesday 37-year-old Timothy Shaun Taylor turned himself into police after learning they had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
But, according to an article in Myrtle Beach's Sun Times, Taylor said he was nowhere near the kidnapping scene.
Massey hopes this experience will be a learning tool for other potential victims.
"If it was to happen to anybody else, just don't give up, you never know what could come out of it, just never give up," said Massey.
Taylor is charged with attempted kidnapping and first degree assault and battery.
Police said there is nothing to connect him to a missing 17-year-old girl from Upstate, New York. She disappeared from Myrtle Beach in April 2009.
But, they are exploring the possibility that Taylor is involved.
