A Johnson City man will spend several years in jail for possessing child pornography.
A U.S. District Court judge sentenced Bobby Howard Cook, 56, to 235 months in federal prison, which translates to more than 19 years behind bars, for receiving child pornography. Cook pled guilty last September.
Cook was convicted of the same offense in 1997 and received a 33 month sentence at the time. He was also convicted of sexual battery of a child and has been in federal custody since his arrest last July.
