As the son of an Air Force veteran, I am outraged that someone from Virginia who intends to run for a seat in the House of Representatives could gain access to our nation’s troops for his own political purposes. Barack Obama was criticized for scheduling a press conference while visiting our troops while he was running for president, and while he was a sitting United States senator and could actually claim a legitimate purpose for such an event. He canceled the event to avoid even the appearance of using our troops for his own political purposes.
Jeremiah Heaton should have done the same or the Pentagon should have barred him from doing so. Mr. Heaton sure has an overly inflated sense of self-worth!
