Sept. 8, 2009 – another infamous and sad day in the history of our republic. The President of the United States of America told our nation’s students that they must be individually responsible for their education, and that it’s important to work hard, pay attention in school and complete assignments.
Unfortunately, I now have to search for somebody who specializes in de-programming cult members, as my child was obviously indoctrinated with what essentially amounted to a traditional, if not a conservatively themed speech espousing American values. I can’t believe I let her go! I should have had her stay home and drink sodas, eat sweets and play video games. What a poor parent I must be to allow my child to be “indoctrinated” with the evil drivel espoused by the president.
I just knew the president had this nefarious plan to secretly imprint his “Marxist/socialist” ideology onto my child. Now what will I ever do? My child came home brainwashed into taking pride and ownership in her own education. She was encouraged to stick with it even if she doesn’t like every class or must overcome tough circumstances at home. The worst part was this nonsense he spouted about her taking personal responsibility for her future. The nerve of that man!
At least it is over now, so I guess I should try to contact some acquaintances and give them the “all clear” so they can bring their children out of their “Glenn Beck” bunkers (tin foil headgear removal is optional).
If anybody knows of a good deprogrammer please let me know. I just can’t have a school age child going around washing her hands and taking personal responsibility for her education. What’s this world coming to?
