I can’t remember and few today can remember the Great Depression. The textbooks of today have all but stricken from their pages the name of John Maynard Keynes, one of the chief architects of the New Deal, which led to our recovery. Ronald Reagan introduced supply side economics; George Bush Sr.called it voodoo economics. The practices of Little Bush has proven his father right.
Drug companies, insurance companies and hospitals must have competition. They must be regulated and they shouldn’t be allowed to shirk their responsibilities. I’m referring to the fact that should I have an accident or catastrophic illness, an insurance company has been sold my risk and should not be allowed to drop my coverage. There are many practices that go on that need to be changed. Drug companies and hospitals need competition to help hold down the prices they charge.
The government has a role in all the injustices I mentioned. No one has called this socialism, yet is it! We need to take this a step further and reform health care now! It is time we got government off the backs of people and place it on the back of big business such as hospitals, drug companies and insurance companies. It is time our production methods works for me, the middle class.
