The Johnson City Police Department reports today that they’ve wrapped up two separate theft cases.
Yesterday, JCPD arrested Jamie L. Mitchell, 32, 833 Dale St. #1, Kingsport, TN and charged her with one count of Theft of Property over $500.00.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a theft that occurred on Oct. 8 at 2123 N. Roan St., Johnson City, TN (Aaron’s Sales and Lease). Reports state that Mitchell entered Aaron’s and was involved in the theft of a laptop computer valued at more than $500.
Mitchell is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions court on October 26.
In a separate case, yesterday officers also arrested Elizabeth Baird, 31, 1462 Broad St. #15, Elizabethton, TN and charged her with one count of theft of property over $1,000.
The arrest stems from an investigation into a theft that occurred at a residence in Johnson City in which Baird was working as a caretaker. Baird is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on Oct. 26.
