Greene County Sheriff's Department investigators are at a home on 132 Old Wilson Hill Road. Officers found a man dead of a gunshot wound, and crews transported a wounded woman to Johnson City Medical Center, WGRV radio reports.

"The call came in as a intruder in the residence," said Marty Ricker, WGRV news director who interviewed officers on the scene. "When deputies got there, they found a man dead and a woman injured."

Ricker said the call from the home call just before 5:30 a.m.
