»  Comments | Post a Comment

BRISTOL, Va. – Improperly stored flammable liquids were blamed Saturday for a fire in a storage room at Logan’s Restaurant on Linden Drive,

fire officials said in a written statement.
The restaurants suffered about $25,000 in damage, Bristol Virginia Fire Chief J. C. Bolling said in the statement.
There were no injuries to the patrons, restaurant employees or emergency service personnel.
The Bristol Virginia Fire Department responded to the restaurant at 12:51 p.m. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and limited the

amount of damage, Bolling said.
The cause of the fire was due to improper storage of flammable liquids in the storage room. Damages resulting from the fire are estimated

in the neighborhood of $25,000, and causing the restaurant to close for repairs. Logan’s management hopes to complete repairs and re-open

within 24 hours.
Chief J. C. Bolling states, “A fire can double in size every 2-3 minute. The citizens of Bristol, Virginia are currently blessed to have

three stations covering the city of Bristol which allows a quick response time. This quick response time of the fire department limits the

probability of loss of life and lessens the amount of damage by fire. At this time of Thanksgiving, we are thankful to know that the

dedicated men and women of the fire department are here to serve this community. We are here 24/7; we are never closed.”
