Washington County, TN community to get fresh water soon

»  Comments | Post a Comment

By the end of next year, dozens of families in Washington County, Tennessee should have fresh, clean water to quench their thirsts. Mayor George Jaynes returned from Nashville Friday with a $500,000 Tennessee Community Development grant. According to Jaynes, Governor Phil Bredesen awarded the county the money to help bring water service to the Bulldog Miller Road section of the county in Telford. People in that section of the county currently get their water from wells that are either dry or contaminated, Jaynes said.
