Johnson County offers H1N1 vaccine

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The Johnson County Health Department will offer H1N1 flu vaccine on Monday, Nov. 23 beginning at 5 p.m. for eligible recipients.

Both the Flu Mist and injectable vaccine will be offered during this clinic. Vaccine will also be available for those 6 months through 35 months of age.

Vaccination will be on a first come, first served basis until the supply runs out so no appointment is necessary.

No shortage of 2009 H1N1 vaccine is expected, however, at this time limited quantities and types of vaccine are being shipped to the health department weekly. The Tennessee Department of Health expects to receive enough H1N1 vaccine in coming weeks so anyone who wants to receive it, can do so.

The Johnson County Health Department will continue to announce future H1N1 clinics.
