Electricity bills going down?
If you live in Bristol, Va. as of December 1 – your electricity bills will go down according to a recent press release from Bristol Virginia Utilities (BVU).
According to BVU residential customers will pay an average of 18 percent less for their electricity compared to December of last year, due to a reduction in energy costs by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
According to Brian Bolling, BVU’s vice president of customer service, the 18 percent drop in electric rates is the result of several factors, including a reduction in TVA’s fuel cost adjustment from last year to this December.
Stacey Bright, BVU’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, says the price break comes at a good time for electric customers.
