After following U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher’s political votes as posted in the Bristol Herald Courier for the past 10 years, I have noticed that Mr. Boucher has always and, I will repeat, always voted straight, lock-step with the Democrats. Therefore, I would consider him to be an ultra-Democrat.
His support for the cap and trade bill has brought him much disfavor in this area. He has, in my opinion, voted for the sake of his political career, which is in jeopardy.
This is nothing more than a political ploy to keep him in favor here in this district. Let as not be fooled by this one-time vote that he has cast in with the Republicans.
