Bud Phillips has sat comfortably as a delegate in the Second District for too long. This district is composed of Dickenson County and parts of Wise and Russell counties.
The Republican party membership in the three counties has endorsed a write-in candidate for the office. Gary Dotson is a strong, conservative, Christian candidate. He has 38 years of coal mining experience. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Dotson is highly qualified to fill the position, and is a Vietnam Veteran. Dotson promises an open-door policy on the issues and would be glad to hear from you.
