Robbery At Big Orange Market In Kingsport

The Big Orange Market, 2142 Highway 126 in Kingsport, was the site of a robbery last night.

According to the Sullivan County Sherriff’s Office, their officers responded to an armed robbery at around 9:15 Thursday night.

The clerk at the market stated in police reports that a white male entered the store and demanded money.

A customer and a small child were in the store at the time of the robbery, but no one was injured.

According to reports, the suspect carried a large dagger and is described as being 6’2” tall and skinny, wearing blue jeans and white button up short sleeve shirt. He had on a black and white mask with holes cut out for the eyes.

Witnesses are still being interviewed and K-9 teams, investigators and patrol officers are still trying to locate the suspect, who fled the store with an unknown amount of cash.
