A quiet family cemetery on a mountain top in Hiltons, Virginia was visited by vandals recently.
The McMurray family plot is located almost 2 miles from any paved road in Scott County but that didn't stop vandals from burning headstones, wreaths and painting 666 on an out building. The vandals also damaged several benches and picnic tables that were used for family events on the property.
Gale McMurray says that due to the remote location of the cemetery the it would hard for the sheriff's office to patrol the area. McMurray says the family will start keeping a much closer watch on their family plot from now on.
