Some Johnson City Residents Will Have Water Outages Tomorrow

Due to the Buc Ridge III construction project on the campus of East Tennessee State University, some city residents will experience water outages in the early morning hours Thursday, and others will have low water pressure.

The outages/low pressure should begin at 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 1 and conclude by 5 a.m. Thursday, July 2. The City advises residents to turn off water heaters during the outage to protect them from damage.

Areas that will not have water include: the 800-900 block of Magnolia Avenue Extension, Southwest Avenue from College Heights Road to Village Road, Buccaneer Ridge apartments, Pirates Cove, and all other ETSU-owned properties along the central receiving road.

Areas that will have low water pressure/possible water outages include: 400-600 block of Magnolia Avenue Extension, 300-600 block West Chestnut Street, 700-800 block of Cherokee Road, 500-700 block of Franklin Street, 200-700 block of University Parkway, 400-600 block of Laurel Avenue, 1400-1600 block of Knox Street, 300 block of Peach Blossom Court, 100-200 block of Boyd Street, 400-500 block of West Highland Avenue, 600-700 block of Hoover Street, 1300-1500 block of Virginia Street, 1200-1500 block of Buffalo Street, 300-400 block of Holly Street, and the 1600 block of Sevier Street.
