Telford Man Dies After Bus Collapses On Him

»  Comments | Post a Comment

37-year-old James R. Couch of Telford, TN worked for Blevins Tires. He was changing the tire on a bus at Fellowship tours on Bob Jobe Road in Gray just after 7 p.m. Friday.

A woman cleaning the bus looked out to check on Couch and found him pinned under the vehicle. Emergency services were called to get him out and performed CPR, but could not revive him.

Sheriff's deputies said it appears the bus landed on Couchs' chest and head. Fellowship Tours Owner Doug Lipps said the bus has a mechanism that allows it to kneel to pick up passengers, and that function may have engaged. Couch leaves behind a wife and several children.

The Washington County Sheriff's Department is still investigating.
