Johnson City's historic train depot will soon hit the auction block. Johnson City Development Authority Executive Director Suzanne Kuehn says the JCDA will be there next week when the property, which is now in foreclosure, is sold.

Last summer, the JCDA offered up to $400,000 for the property along State of Franklin Road, but that was offer was turned down. Kuehn says her agency is very interested in the old depot, but just doesn't have the money to buy it.

The depot will be auctioned off on June 23rd at 11:00 a.m. on the steps of the Washington County Courthouse in Jonesborough.
