The Blue Plum Festival got started on Friday in Johnson City and so far things are running smoothly.
Members of the Johnson City Police Department maintain a strong presence at the festival and despite the large crowds there have been few problems.
Captain Matt Howell with the Johnson City Police Department said that other than a few unruly drinkers, the problems at the festival are few.
