There has been a fire this morning at Texas Roadhouse, 1221 E Stone Drive in Kingsport.

Firefighters had the fire under control by a little after 10 a.m. this morning. They say the fire began in the front corner of the building.

Kingsport Fire Cheif Craig Dye said the fire burned longer because it was above the sprinkler system, in an upper attic-type area. Therefore, the sprinklers were not activated.

Dye said that foul play is not suspected and they think the cause of the fire could have been electrical. No word yet on how long the restaurant will be closed to repair the damage.

For a while, Stone Drive was blocked off because of the fire. All lanes are now open.
