Thousands of fans will mourn the loss of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, at a ceremony scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time this afternoon at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Jackson died on June 25th after reportedly collapsing at his home. He was rushed to the hospital and later died. An official cause of death has not
been released.
More than 17,000 fans who won tickets in an email lottery will fill the Staples Center later in the day for the ceremony. His family mourned Jackson's loss at a private ceremony yesterday.
In addition to the family, stars such as Mariah Carey, Berry Gordy, Jennifer Hudson, Lionel Richie, Usher and Steve Wonder will be on hand to honor the singer.
