An Elizabethton man is dead this morning, after a single vehicle accident took his life Wednesday night.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says that Fred L. Shouse, 63, died in an accident at the intersection of 19E and State Line Road in Carter County.
THP tells us that a deputy with the Carter County Sheriff's Office tried to pull over Shouse because he was driving his 1997 Honda erratically. They say that Shouse suddenly lost control of the car, causing it to flip three times as the deputy followed him. The accident ejected Shouse from the sun roof of his car.
THP says the wreck is still under investiagtion this morning.
