Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey can't hide his excitement about what could happen on Tuesday.
It's almost certain Ramsey, a Republican representing Sullivan County in the Tennessee State Senate, will retain his post as Senate Speaker and Lt. Governor, an appointed position which gives him tremendous power in the General Assembly.
But Ramsey's influence as well as that of the Tennessee Republican Party could intensify significantly Tuesday. Republicans now have a one vote majority in the Tennessee House of Representatives as well as a majority in the Senate. In Tennessee history, that's never happened before.
