East Tennessee gets a new United States Congressman this week.
Tuesday, Johnson City Mayor Phil Roe will be sworn in as the First District's Representative in Washington.
Roe defeated David Davis, whose term expired last Friday after one term in office.
Before leaving for Washington, the retired physician said he will pick up keys to his Congressional office today.
Roe will actually still be Johnson City's Mayor until Thursday night when Vice Mayor Jane Myron is sworn in.
