Demand For Locally Grown Food

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Representatives of farmers markets in the Tri-Cities say there is a high demand for locally grown food in our region.

These representatives will hold two upcoming community meetings to discuss opportunities for local farmers and gardeners to sell their own food at farmers markets.

The Bristol Public Library held the first meeting last week.

The next discussion will be today at the Appalachian Harvest Packing Facility in Duffield, Virginia.

The last meeting will be at the Jonesborough Visitors Center on February 12.

Both of these meetings to discuss the demand for local food will begin at 7 pm.
