Road Conditions And Outages

All counties across the region are reporting that main roads are traveling fine this morning with still maybe a few slick spots. The secondary roads are still hazardous and you should use caution while traveling.

Carter County is reporting that Stoney Creek and Hampton are still slick on the secondary roads.

North Central Avenue in Hawkins County is closed due to ice.

Damascus to Mountain City roads in Washington County, Virginia are still in pretty bad shape.

Route 19 is back open this morning as well as I-26. Road crews are working hard to remove the numerous cars that were abandoned last night on the side of the road.

Power outages are being reported across our entire region. Appalachian Power is working hard, but struggling with these conditions. It may be awhile before everyone gets their power back.

Unicoi County is reporting a tree that has fallen across a power line on Walnut St. bringing the power line down.

The Indian Springs Community in Kingsport is without water.

The Unicoi County Water Utility is asking everyone to conserve water.
