A Miami man is set to be arraigned Friday in Johnson City, after police arrested him on Thursday in connection to crimes that happened seven years ago in the Tri-Cities region.
Johnson City Police arrested Bobby Porter, 33, and charged him with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault. In August of 2002, police say Porter pulled a knife on a man giving him a ride in Johnson City. Police tell us Porter then took cash from the man's wallet and ran before authorities arrived.
The very next day, police say Porter was a passenger in a car that pulled into a Johnson City parking lot, where they say he shot a man in the leg. The victim survived.
