UPDATE 2:28 p.m.
We have received notice that Washington County, Va. students will dismiss at normal time. However, many roads are blocked, so bus arrival times may be later than normal.
Other schedule changes include Steel Fab in Abingdon, whose second shift, plant one, will be closed today due to a power outage.
Also, Highway 58 near Damascus about 2 miles south from the split with Route 91 is closed due to trees down on the road.
Bristol Motor Speedway's Speedway in Lights, Chill Hill & Ice Rink will be closed tonight because of the high winds.

High winds have caused trees to fall across roadways and onto homes in the area.
We have numerous reports coming in now from Unicoi, Greeneville, Kingsport, Johnson City, Bristol and Elizabethton.
Downed trees are also causing service outages as they fall into power lines.
We will have updates as soon as they become available.
Please use caution when driving in high winds, and watch out for downed trees around curves.
