Since the TSSAA started having play-offs in High School football, no team from Northeast Tennessee has won a championship.
That could change on Saturday.
Greeneville High School will take on Giles County in Cookeville at 4 P-M on the campus of Tennessee Tech.
Driving through Greeneville, I saw several signs outside of businesses, wishing the Greene Devils good luck this week.
The community support in Greeneville has caught the attention of the players, and the coaches, and they hope to bring the State Championship trophy home to Greeneville on Saturday night!
