BRISTOL, Va. - A field of four prospective city managers has been reduced to two.
Meeting in executive session this morning, the City Council agreed on two finalists for another round of interviews. Current City Manager Bill Dennison will retire at the end of this month and city leaders acknowledge the post may go unfilled for a time.
“We’d like to have them back within two weeks if possible, but with everything that’s going on, we’ll try to be flexible with our dates,” Mayor Jim Rector said after the meeting.
