A Fall Branch couple has been indicted for selling prescription narcotics after an investigation which began last March.
According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, Deputies arrested Mary E Murray; age 65; 304 Butchertown Road, Fall Branch and Buster J Murray; age 82; of the same address on a Criminal Court Presentment charging the couple with Maintaining a Dwelling Where Controlled Substance is Used and Sold.
Reports state the investigation revealed the pair had illegally diverted large quantities of prescribed medication and sold it to various persons from their home.
A search of the couple’s home resulted in recovery of drug ledgers, a large sum of cash totaling approximately $33,000. Due to the age of the offenders and the large amount of evidence in the case it was presented to a Washington County Grand Jury, which issued a presentment for the couple’s arrest.
The Murrays are currently being housed at the Washington County Detention Center. Each Murray has a $10,000 bond and each is scheduled for arraignment at the Next Term of Washington County Criminal Court.
