April 28
* A man outside a Quarry Street address was trying to get his belongings around 8 p.m. after fighting with a woman who hit him with a board.
* On Oakview Avenue, a woman called police to say that “some old man had threatened her child,” but she hung up and could not be reached. Charges were later filed on the man.
* A woman on Rhode Island Avenue told police a blue and gray vehicle had been parked at his location for a week and she believed someone might have stolen a lawnmower.
April 29
* Shortly after 7 a.m., a caller reported, a man with bushy hair was walking down the middle of Solar Street screaming and yelling, and seemed emotionally disturbed.
* Someone called to report a dog locked in a car with the windows up at Walmart around 4 p.m., then called four minutes later to say the dog was leaving with its owner.
Bristol Tennessee Police
April 27
* An officer responded to a call about a man panhandling at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. The man was banned from the property (except to receive medical treatment) by hospital security officers. While waiting for the officer, the man missed the transit bus, so the officer drove him home.
* When a pickup truck driver pulled out of the Taco Bell driveway, an item in the truck bed flew out and hit the building. There “a very small dent in the plaster of the building,” according to a police report.
* A girl on Meadowview Road threatened to run away, so her mother called police, who advised the girl of the consequences of being a runaway. The girl later went to spend the night with her grandparents.
April 28
* An officer responded to a noise complaint at an apartment complex on Avoca Road. “Upon arrival, I stood outside the residence and heard no noise,” according to the police report. “I made contact with the residents and they advised that they had been watching TV and talking.”
Neighborhood Watch
* Anyone interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch program in Bristol, Va., should contact Nicole Slagle, crime prevention coordinator with the Bristol Virginia Police Department, at (276) 645-7281.
* The Damascus Neighborhood Watch meets at 7 p.m. today in the Damascus Town Hall. The meetings are held the last Thursday of the month.
* On Monday, the Bursons Corner neighborhood watch will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Woodmen of the World Building, 1997 Long Crescent Drive, in Bristol, Va.

* On May 13, the Children’s Bike Rodeo will be held at the Ridgecrest Apartments in Bristol, Va., 2 Heritage Drive, at 4 p.m. The police department is sponsoring the event. Call (276) 645-7400.
