Man Charged With Selling Rented 52" Plasma TV

Marshall Lynn Hodges, 28, is charged with theft over $500.

A Gray, Tennessee man is charged with theft after police say he rented a TV worth $2,183 and then sold it.

In a news release from Johnson City Police, officers said they got a complaint from EZ Rentals, 1928 S. Roan Street, where an employee said Marshall Lynn Hodges, 28, 235 Cedar Valley Road, Gray, Tennessee rented a 52" Hitachi plasma TV in early December. The employee said he never paid rent, and EZ Rental was unable to contact Hodges. "On 04/22/2009, affiant spoke with Hodges who admitted to selling the TV shortly after he renting it," according to the police report.

Hodges was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center with bond at $10,000.
