About 100 people gathered in Cumberland Square in Bristol, Virginia for a noon "Tea Party" rally. News Channel 11's Nate Morabito reports that most in attendance said they were Republicans, but Democrats in attended said that wasteful government spending is a non-partisan concern.

Organizers have planned a Tea Party tax protest today at 6 p.m. at the Farmer's Market in Abingdon, Virginia, corner of Cummings Street and Remsburg Drive.

The growing movement of Tea Parties to protest the massive spending going on in Washington is making it's way to the Tri-Cities.
The Northeast Tennessee Tea Party Rally will be on tax day, April 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Memorial Park in Kingsport. Memorial Park is across from Dobbyns-Bennett High School.
There will also be a Tea Party at 11:30 a.m. at the Bristol Farmer's Market on State Street.
And, another will be held in Greeneville at the Greene County Courthouse at noon.
