It's vital for Type 1 diabetics to constantly monitor their glucose or blood sugar levels. Allowing levels to stay too high can cause organ damage over time. Patients have relied on finger prick tests.... even waking up every night to check their glucose levels. But new technology is making it easier for diabetics to control their blood sugar; there are now electronic glucose monitor which alerts patients of changing levels 24/7.
