A woman is recovering this morning after getting injured fighting the family pit bull off her one-year-old grandchild.
It happened in Washington County, Tennessee... just south of Cherokee Road... in the 200 block of Spice Hollow Road.
That's in the Hidden Valley Trailer Park.
The Sheriff's Office says the grandmother "got the worst of it." The dog bit her several times, and she suffered more than two-dozen puncture wounds.
Her one-year-old granddaughter is okay, she escaped with one minor bite.
Animal control seized the dog, and cited the family for being behind on their vaccinations.
