I am a taxpayer of Russell County and am writing concerning Jim Gilmore and Mark Warner on taxes.
Warner doesn’t mention the car tax relief Jim Gilmore gave the citizens of Russell County and the rest of Virginia. My car taxes would have been more than $800 for 2007. I give Gilmore credit for my taxes being $202.25 for 2007.
If Warner had not stopped the last year of the car tax relief, my taxes would have been zero. Warner raised taxes on the people of Virginia. We don’t need Warner in Washington to help Barack Obama raise taxes on the people of America.
I am concerned about the UMWA fish fry. It was meant for the United Mine Workers and retirees and their families to meet and enjoy their coal mining friends. Instead it has turned into a Democrat rally. Their guests were Rep. Rick Boucher, D-9th, Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, U.S. Sen. Joe Biden and Democrats from the state General Assembly.
