Three families are homeless today, after an overnight fire tore through an apartment house in Kingsport.
Fire crews got the call about 2:30 this morning at the apartments located on Lovedale Drive.
Everyone managed to get out, and no one was hurt.

Fire crews say when they arrived the two top apartments were fully involved.
The two bottom apartments both received smoke and water damage.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine what cause the fire to start. An arson sniffing dog was brought in from Johnson City to assist in the investigation.
News Channel 11's Scott Draper will have the full story tonight beginning at 5.

News Channel 11's Josh Smith just got off the phone with the Kingsport Fire Chief, and he tells us no one was injured during the apartment fire.

*****************
Kingport dispatchers tell us a Tri-Cities road is blocked off this morning after an early morning fire that engulfed a home.

This is a picture sent to us by a viewer named Kevin earlier this morning. Officials tell us the fire happened at 2:23 a.m. on the 600 block of Lovedale Drive. We're told fire crews, the fire chief, and response crews are still on scene at this hour and have called in for salt trucks because all the water that was used may have caused some slick conditions on that road.

No word on injuries at this time, as crews are still on scene. We have a crew on the way to the scene and hope to bring you more information later today.
