Allegiant Air Cans Tri-Cities Fort Lauderdale Flights

Allegiant Air announced this afternoon it will halt scheduled service between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and the Tri-Cities soon.

The Las Vegas based travel company said it would contact customers with reservations September 7th and beyond.

Allegiant began its service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport November 14, 2007. A press release issued by Allegiant Air did not indicate why it will stop the service.

The low-cost carrier said it will continue to provide nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and the following cities: Greenville - Spartanburg, SC; Knoxville, TN; Plattsburgh, NY.
