UPDATE: The Kingsport Fire Department was able to put the fire out quickly. It was contained to one apartment. However, some units on the second floor did sustain smoke damage. When crews arrived they had to force their way into the burning apartment. That's when they found a Kingsport man on the floor unresponsive. The man was pulled from the apartment and taken to an area hospital where he is recovering. Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.

The Kingsport Fire Department was called to the Cabana Apartments off Stone Drive early Wednesday afternoon because of an apartment fire.
At least one person was taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. No word what caused the fire or how many apartments were damaged.
