Fire destroyed a mobile home in Carter County this morning.
It started around 3 a.m. on Holston View Drive in the Stoney Creek Community near Unaka High School.
At first, crews feared people were trapped in the home, but dispatchers say the owner arrived and told crews the home was unoccupied.
As of 4:30 a.m., firefighters were still working to extinguish the fire which destroyed the home.
No cause had been determined so far.
