Traffic is back to normal after a tractor trailer carrying apples overturned Wednesday morning. The accident shut down exit and entrance ramps to interstate 26 in the Flag Pond community of Unicoi County, Tennessee.

The truck tipped over just before 3:30 spilling the load of apples on the westbound side of I-26 at exit 50 at the Flag Pond exit.

I-26 is open for traffic, but all four ramps at exit 50 were closed most of the morning.

News Channel 11 just learned that the driver of the truck was having problems steering, and hit a concrete barrier while trying to get off of the interstate.

The truck separated from the cargo of apples and caught fire. The driver is currently at the Johnson City Medical Center and is expected to be OK.

The Southside Volunteer Fire Department put out the fire to the truck.
