Overnight Crash Kills Greene Co. Woman

A Greene County woman lost her life in an overnight crash Sunday around 11:15 in the 6700 block of Blue Springs Parkway. WGRV photographer Ron Metcalfe snapped this picture after first responders arrived at the scene.

A Greene County woman lost her life in an overnight crash.

Greene County Sherriff’s Department reports, it happened Sunday around 11:15p.m in the 6700 block of Blue Springs Parkway.

Authorities identified the victim as 46 year-old Beverly Diane King of 121 Mt. Pleasant circle. King was a passenger in a 1988 Pontiac sedan being driven by 48 year-old Grant Alan Broyles. Both Broyles and King have the same home address.

According to the accident report, Broyles and King were traveling east bound when the car left the roadway, just a half mile from a caution light.

Officials say the sedan over corrected and overturned two times, ejecting King from the car. The car then came to rest on top of the woman killing her instantly.

According to the report, Broyles was no seriously injured. The crash is under investigation.
