MSHA, Norton Community Hospital partnership official

Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) and Norton Community Hospital (NCH), which includes Dickenson Community Hospital (DCH), have announced that the partnership between the two organizations has been finalized and officially approved as of Oct. 31.

Norton Community Hospital is hosting a public event to be held in early December at both NCH and DCH to celebrate this historic 50-50 partnership with Mountain States. Officials from Mountain States, Norton Community Hospital and Dickenson Community Hospital noted that the transition process has been “very smooth, and both parties look forward to a long and healthy partnership for Norton, Wise County, Clintwood and Dickenson County.”

Mountain States Health Alliance facilities include Johnson City Medical Center, The Children’s Hospital at JCMC, North Side Hospital, Johnson City Specialty Hospital, James H. & Cecile C. Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital, Woodridge Hospital, a service of JCMC, all in Washington County, Tenn.; Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Carter County, Tenn.; Johnson County Community Hospital, located in Mountain City, Tenn.; Indian Path Medical Center and Indian Path Pavilion in Sullivan County; Tenn.; Dickenson Community Hospital in Dickenson County, Va.; Smyth County Community Hospital in Smyth County, Va.; Norton Community Hospital in Wise County, Va; Blue Ridge Medical Management Corp. (operating the Blue Ridge Physician Group, First Assist Urgent Care centers and ValuCare Clinics in Food City) and Medical Center HomeCare and Hospice Services throughout the Tri-Cities region.
